Statement

I’ve always liked the different phases of the creative process, discovering new ways to go beyond what is in front of me and imagining different ways of representing reality and how I sense it.

Science, especially theoretical physics, the great Western thinkers, and Eastern mystical philosophies are the usual sources of inspiration for my work. To travel, to interact with people and cultures of different countries encourages and enriches my photographic work, which is the foundation of my artistic compositions.

I believe that art is a way of understanding the world, and my work is an approach to the fundamental questions that mankind has been asking since the beginning of times: What is life? Why do we exist? What is the universe? Who constructs reality? The images that I create are the bridge that connects the everyday reality that I perceive (objective reality) and the hidden reality in my mind (subjective reality).

I am passionate about composing images that immerse the viewer in the world of emotions and make him closer to the depths of the spirit. Almost all of my work is a visual reflection of the apparent and tangible reality. My abstract and sometimes figurative, sometimes conceptual work, is based on the same thought: What and how is Ultimate Reality?

My work is highly influenced and inspired by some of the best painters of the 20th century such as Antoni Tapies, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, and Bill Viola among others.

I am especially fascinated by the philosophical-theoretical explanations of some of the physicists who participated in the creation of quantum mechanics, whom I name with all due respect: Erwin Schrödinger, Werner Heisenberg, Max Plank, Albert Einstein, and Richard Feynman. I also find inspiration in the natural structures in mathematical concepts and in anything that helps me get closer to the ultimate Reality.
